CHEMICAL COMPOSITION:
It is a metallic soap, made from the chemical reaction of metal oxide, hydroxide and salt with mono carboxylic saturated acid like napthenic octoic etc. The soap thus made is thinned with mineral turpentine to make different concentrations.

PROPERTIES AND USES:
It is an active drier but less effective than Cobalt. It provides both surface and thorough drying. It is used as a lead stabilizer. It provides very hard and durable finishes. Very effective in baking finishes. In combination with lead , it may partially replace Cobalt and this helps to avoid wrinkling problem.
