PROPERTIES AND USES:

It is the most important auxiliary drier. It is used with active driers like Cobalt and Manganese and it promotes thorough hard drying by virtue of its polymerising effect.

It improves water and salt spray resistance. It has a tendency to cause haziness in some Alkyd Resin formulation which can be over come by the use of Calcium drier.

This drier can’t be used in high Sulphide content atmosphere as it develops discolouration. This also can’t be used in Aluminium paints for leafing problem.
