COMPOSITION:
It
is a metallic soap, made from the chemical reaction of metal oxide, hydroxide
and salt with mono carboxylic saturated acid like napthenic, octoic etc. The
soap thus made is thinned with mineral turpentine to make different
concentrations.

PROPERTIES
AND USES:
It is the most active drier because it activates drying of the film by oxidation and as such is a surface drier. For good thorough drier, it is used in combination with lead or Zirconium. It is used as accelerator in polymerisation of unsaturated polyester Resin. It can be used in baking enamel and Aluminum vehicle. The unique feature is it is less affected by humidity.
